The Miracle Morning for Network Marketers: Grow Yourself FIRST to Grow Your Business Fast (The Miracle Morning Book Series) – Hal Elrod & Pat Petrini
The book that had the biggest personal impact on my life (besides The Bible), is “The Miracle Morning”. This helps you grow yourself FIRST to grow your business FAST. After reading this, I immediately implemented these daily habits and it really helped reduce stress, gave me a clarity on what I wanted to achieve and HOW to achieve them and moved my business to new levels. Plus, it allowed me to have some big accomplishments and wins under my belt every day and that help propel my business forward. Of all the books I’m going to mention today, this is THE 1 you need to get first!
As a new representative, I wanted to learn exactly what this direct sales and network marketing business is all about. I like to have a birds eye view and grasp the big picture.
Be a Network Marketing Superstar: The One Book You Need to Make More Money Than You Ever Thought Possible – Mary Christensen
One of the first books I read was “Be a Network Marketing Superstar” by Mary Christensen. This shares a few techniques and is very practical, simple and duplicatable. Another book to get a good overview of this type of business is “Get Over Yourself” by – She does not sugar coat this business and gives you a true idea of what it takes to achieve success.
The Slight Edge: Turning Simple Disciplines Into Massive Success – Jeff Olson
Another favorite of mine is The Slight Edge by Jeff Olsen or The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy. Both are great books that teach the same idea… the small things you do on a daily basis adds up to BIG results down the road.
From Knocking on Doors to Making Millions: Top Strategies for Direct Sales Success – Elizabeth Demas
From Knocking on Doors to Making Millions – Elizabeth Demas – Elizabeth is a top seller with Avon and shares interviews with other direct sales professionals and gives top strategies for success. This was great to read to hear the many different ways you can build your business and have success.
Go for No! for Network Marketing – Richard Fenton & Andrea Waltz with Ray Higdon
Go for No! for Network Marketing by Richard Fenton. I knew that in this business, I needed to learn how to accept “nos” and get over hearing them. I didn’t always want to feel defeated or deflated when I heard no, so this book really helped me embrace “No”, so I could be aiming towards my “YES”
Get Over Your Damn Self: The No-BS Blueprint to Building a Life-Changing Business – Romi Neustadt
A view from the top – Avon elite leaders share their stories and strategies to succeed. There are 3 volumes! I have read these books several times and always walk away inspired and with something new to implement into my business.
How To Start A Conversation And Make Friends: Revised And Updated – Don Gabor
When I first started my Avon business I was really shy and wasn’t very comfortable at starting conversations. So, I had to learn how to have conversations! I read this book “How to Start a Conversation and Make Friends” by Don Gabor. This helped increase my confidence too!
The Five Minute Journal: A Happier You in 5 Minutes a Day
The Book on my list isn’t necessarily a book… it’s more of a journal but has had tremendous impact on my days. It’s called The Five Minute Journal A Happier You in 5 Minutes a Day. You can also get this as an App on your phone. This truly is your secret weapon to focus on the good in your life, become more mindful, and live with intention. With a simple structured format based on positive psychology research, you will start and end each day with gratitude.
See You at the Top: 25th Anniversary Edition – Zig Ziglar
The 25th anniversary edition of the classic motivational and self-improvement book that has sold more than 1.6 million copies in hardcover. For more than three decades, Zig Ziglar, one of the great motivators of our age, has traveled the world, encouraging, uplifting, and inspiring audiences. His groundbreaking best-seller, See You at the Top, remains an authentic American classic. This revised and updated edition stresses the importance of honesty, loyalty, faith, integrity, and strong personal character.
The Bible – Forty Authors
“Before you dismiss this as a “religious” answer, consider that the Bible is regarded as the top best-selling and most widely distributed book ever. It outlines the principles of a successful and prosperous life, issues warnings against downfall, and beautifully captures stories of triumph and victory against all odds—lessons applicable to entrepreneurs and business owners.
The book is simple enough for children to understand, yet deep enough for philosophers to research and discuss for centuries. It completely changed my perspective and trajectory of life, and continues to refine my thinking and mindset—whether I’m looking at product development, sales, marketing, customer service, leadership or culture, or reflecting on the virtues of purpose, stewardship and integrity. The more I read it, the more I fall in love with it.”
It’s Your Time: Activate Your Faith, Achieve Your Dreams, and Increase in God’s Favor – Joel Osteen
I know some people have negative feelings about Joel Osteen but I believe he speaks positivity and is uplifting. For that, I recommend reading ANY of his books! They have helped renew my thinking, built my confidence and increased my hope.
The 4-Hour Workweek – Timothy Ferriss
Tim Ferris has a wonderful podcast and a few books. The 4 hour workweek was the first of his that I read and it was intense! This challenged my thinking and gave me the courage to really CHASE after my dreams.
Awaken the Giant Within – Tony Robbins
Tony Robbins is NOT your Guru …. but challenges your thinking and made me DIG DEEP to take control of my thoughts and my actions. This was a tough, long, strenuous read.. but well worth it! My book was highlighted, underlined and I rewrote several paragraphs in my journal to help cement some of these ideas into my own thought life.
