Hi there! I’m excited to share with you an interview with team member Carrie Woodfaulk. She has successfully built an online Avon business and continues to be one of the top sales representatives on our team! I’m so proud, lucky, honored, and grateful that she is on our team!
An Interview With Team Member Carrie Woodfaulk Let’s begin with the most obvious question – Why did you join Avon? Well there are a few reasons but in all honesty, primarily I wanted an opportunity to make additional income that still allowed me the flexibility to work on my real passion – writing and theater.
What do you like most about the Avon opportunity? The ability to earn passive income by marketing online. I’ve had a computer since I was 9-years-old, as well as studied computers in college. So, I am very comfortable with them, more so than with face-to-face sales. I like being able to update my blog when it is most convenient for me and still be able to make money even when I am sleeping! Plus, I and my family have always enjoyed using Avon cosmetics and products.
How do you market your Avon business? I mostly focus on my Avon beauty blog. This is done by keeping it up to date with posts and leaving an Avon brochure with my website address any place I can.
What has been the most challenging aspect of marketing online? I would definitely say having to be patient. It took about a year to start seeing consistent results from my efforts. The key was consistency and perseverance even when you didn’t see anything happening at first. In addition, I find that online marketing may be more difficult than face-to-face in that there are only so many top positions in the search engines that representatives can occupy. So you really have to be savvy to get and keep one of those positions for the best search terms. This is not so with in person sales.
Lastly, why did you choose to join Jessica? When I was searching for a team leader, I didn’t join under the first person I saw. I decided to do some research and mull it over for a few days. The biggest deciding factor was I wanted someone I know who would be there to assist me and answer my questions in a timely manner. I did a test by contacting the reps and seeing how they responded. In short, out of everyone Jessica was the most responsive and helpful.
Any final thoughts? I believe that New Avon is bringing positive changes and I look forward to a long and prosperous future.
